Why not have a go at growing the tallest Sunflower in Cheveley?! Here are the instructions: –
Collect your seeds (2 should be fine) from either Claire Elbrow at 41 High Street or Sue Willows at 24 Centre Drive.
Plant them directly in the ground. Remember, they will grow tall and big so choose a place with plenty of room. Choose somewhere sunny too as they love the sun.
You will need to support them as they get tall – a cane will work well.
Don’t forget to water them!
Take some photos as they grow. Take your final measurement on 30th September and send your photos to us by 5th October with the final height of your sunflower. Send entries to clerk@cheveley-pc.gov.uk.
