We are very pleased to announce that this years winner of the McCalmont Cup for outstanding service to the parish is Ian Swann, our postman. Ian has served the village for well over 20 years now and as our postie he goes above and beyond keeping an eye out for residents (and often our beloved pets too!) as well as taking care of our post come rain or shine! Always delivering with a happy face, Ian is our much loved postie.
We are also thrilled to announce that this years Young Volunteer Award goes to Arwen and Elise who both attend Cheveley Primary School. They are recognised for their voluntary work with the Mersea Island Festival, a disability camp for people with physical and learning disabilities. Well done!
