Caretaker/cleaner required

Cheveley Parish Council is looking for a caretaker/cleaner to support its two public buildings – Cheveley Parish Hall and Cheveley Sports Pavilion.  The role is part-time, 7-10 hours per week, with some flexibility of working hours.  Some evening and weekend work is required.  Duties will include unlocking and locking up of the premises as required by users, cleaning, preparation of rooms for hire and monitoring of the fabric of the buildings and reporting any defects to the Parish Council.  The post holder will be flexible with a good eye for detail and be someone who takes pride in their work.  They will have good interpersonal skills and be able to work with a team of volunteers and Councillors, and be well motivated and able to work on their own initiative.

Salary will be paid in line with NALC pay scales (for Local Authorities) and will be £10.04 per hour.  Statutory leave entitlement will be paid in line with current legislation.
